What is the web3.0?

Introduction

Web3.0 aka web3, is a 3rd generation of internet🌏 which based on blockchain⛓ technology using power of smart-contracts🖺.

Mainly focusing on decentralization and open platform it is like the democracy (by the people, for the people, of the people)

challenging to big tech giants. Recently it became buzzword and a huge crowd developing it so called future of the internet.


Brief History

Before web3 there should be web2 and web1. Web1 is a basic infrastructure of internet (the original internet) in late 90s and early 20s.

Then web2 boomed and it became synonyms of the internet (a term often used interchangeably with the web) which is the current version of the internet.

The basic difference between web1 and web2 is following:

  • static webpages
  • developed in basic HTML
  • URL is used for web address
  • minimal and basic features was there in web1

web2

  • dynamic webpages
  • advanced programming is used to developed it
  • it was boon for big tech giants like google, tictok, youtube, twitter, uber etc.
  • this made people life so easy from morning breakfast, lunch and dinner, travel, healthcare, media and everything
  • web2 is controlled by service provider and hence centralized.

The web3 has bigger theme and that is DECENTRALIZATION along with power of Artificial Intelligence and reverse designing and gives freedom to users. Web3 is a Decentralized Autonomous Organizations(DAOs).
